Lavaux

With its typical villages, sunny vineyards and inimitable landscapes, the Lavaux region is one of the most beautiful in the canton of Vaud. With its 900 hectares of vines, Lavaux is a paradise for good wine lovers. Many small paths crisscross the heart of vineyards with breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. On these 10,000 terraces, you will easily find the path that suits your pace and the time you have available. It's a great way to discover one of the most beautiful Swiss landscapes. Remember to equip yourself with good shoes and keep in mind that the walk can be steep. You have the opportunity to get to the top of the terraces by car and walk down. You can also choose to ride with the Lavaux Express or the Lavaux Panoramic. Depending on the season and the number of people, it might be necessary to call and book. Please be aware that vans or buses with 50 seats are too big for the streets of some of the surrounding villages.

CGN

Altogether, the CGN owns nineteen boats. The most spectacular ones are the eight “Belle Epoque” boats, including five steamboats built between 1904 and 1927. They constitute the most important and elegant paddlewheel fleet in the world. In addition to those historical monuments, the CGN has five modern boats, four small boats and two speedboats without catering

The Olympic Museum

The Olympic Museum is a quintessential activity for visitors to Lausanne, the Olympic capital of the world and headquarter of the IOC since a century. It stands out firstly thanks to its ideal location, on the shore of Lake Geneva, in a beautiful frame with its 8000-sqm park and second thanks to the modernity of the building and of the equipment. Composed of one permanent exhibition and one temporary one, the museum is not just a presentation of the Olympic Games but tackles broader themes and offers many interactive activities.

The Moon Race 2015

The Moon Race is the first of a series of show-conferences open to the public about the adventure of the lunar conquest. It featured the American, Buzz Aldrin (lunar pilot during the 1st moon landing of Apollo 11 in 1969), the soviet, Alexey Leonov (1st cosmonaut to reach space in 1965) and Claude Nicollier (1st Swiss astronaut in space) who talked about their big space epic.

SportAccord Convention 2016

The SportAccord Convention is the annual meeting of leaders of world sports where they shape the future of their sports through various conferences. 1’700 delegates and more than 100 international federations from everywhere around the globe were present in the SwissTech Convention Center for this 14th edition which was a great networking and knowledge sharing opportunity. The SportAccord Convention can be considered as the United Nations of sports.
