Scheduled cruises
The CGN offers many scheduled cruises, open to all, with different itineraries. These cruises offer various catering possibilities including traditional Swiss dishes. There are many options for smaller groups of 50 to 150 people.
It is always a good idea to check the CGN’s schedule since they organize occasional special events for example for New Year’s Eve, for the Swiss and the French National Day, or simply for “fondue” evenings during winter.
Private cruises
For the larger groups, it is possible to rent the CGN’s boats, which can welcome up to 700 pax. Theses private cruises can be organized according to your wishes, which means that you can choose the itinerary and the departure’s location among the 43 CGN’s piers all around Lake Geneva.
You can also choose the cuisine that you like best. Note that the “Montreux” boat can welcome up to 200 people for a cocktail and offers the food service from the Beau Rivage Palace’s 5 stars restaurant. As for the “Savoie” boat, it proposes the services of the Grand Chef Philippe Chevrier. Moreover, it is possible to organize entertainment and performances such as live music.
If you wish to discover Switzerland, you can ask the CGN to put you in relation with a guide provided by the tourism offices. You will than have the chance to visit the surroundings by boat, in which case, the guide will provide you with information on what you can see from the boat. Otherwise, you can choose to make stopovers and discover interesting towns or villages around Lake Geneva. Please note that it does take some time to get from one place to another since the boats have an average speed of 25km/h, so you should not load your program too heavily.
