AIPC – the International Association of Convention Centres – is the industry association for professional convention and exhibition centre managers world wide. AIPC is committed to encouraging and recognizing excellence in convention centre management, while at the same time providing the tools to achieve high standards through its research, educational and networking programs. AIPC occupies a unique position amongst the various organizations that represent the meetings industry.
In today’s challenging environment, AIPC is committed to bringing their community and the greater meetings industry together to share experiences and insights; and discuss ways to shape the future of centre management business for a post-Covid world. As the different regions of the world are at different stages of pandemic battle efforts, bringing the entire AIPC community physically together will be challenging this year.
In the spirit of community learning and sharing, AIPC will organize a hybrid version of the Annual Conference in 2021 – Annual Conference: Digital will take place on 9 and 12 July and the Annual Conference: Live will take place on-site in Lausanne, Switzerland on 13 and 14 July. The combination offers the best possible experience to the participants, in a format which is best fit for purpose and convenience.
The theme for this year’s Conference is ELEVATION, reflecting the ambition of the community to re-open for organized events and to bring these events to a new level in a Covid-safe environment. Global thought leaders will share their views on technology, design, leadership, business development and partnerships – five key success factors needed to make the elevation happen. This will be combined with ample opportunities to network, share ideas and discuss future plans – the need for which has never been so high.
