The SwissTech Convention Center, inaugurated in April 2014, is one of the most modern congress centers of the world. On Thursday 30th November, for the first time since its inauguration, the SwissTech Convention Center, in collaboration with its partners, will open its doors to the public from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

It will be an opportunity for everyone to discover the secrets of this majestic building. Built by Richter Dahl Rocha et Associés architectes SA, the SwissTech Convention Center uses many pioneer technologies that make the building an international reference in the field. One of its facades is covered by 300 square metres of colored and transparent photovoltaic solar cells, using the concept developed by Michaël Grätzel, professor at EPFL.

Guided tours and demonstrations will be arranged every hour. During these visits, the public will get the chance to discover the top features of the technical equipment offered to our event organizers namely the “Gala System” that ensures the metamorphosis of the auditoriums in only 15 minutes. Indeed, the SwissTech Convention Center stands out thanks to its extreme modularity and the public will be able to witness the transformation of a 3000 seat amphitheater into a banquet room of more than 1800sqm.

The partners of the SwissTech Convention Center will present their activities within the orchestra of elements that need to be united to ensure the success of an event and will reveal the engaging secrets of their jobs. Access is free of charge during the whole day.
