From June 9 to 12, 2025, the SwissTech Convention Center (STCC) hosted the 9th edition of the Congress of the International Secretariat of Nurses in the French-speaking World (SIDIIEF). More than a thousand healthcare professionals, researchers, and teachers from over 20 countries gathered to share their knowledge, compare their perspectives, and celebrate the richness of the French-speaking nursing community.

A congress with a strong international reach

Recognized as an unmissable event, the congress once again demonstrated its ability to bring people together and inspire them. The debates and discussions focused on key themes: digital and organizational innovation, strengthening nursing leadership, equity and sustainability in health, and training future generations. Plenary lectures, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities punctuated these four intense days.

Isabelle Lehn, an inspiring voice

Director of Care at CHUV and President of SIDIIEF, shared her thoughts, which reflect both professional excellence and humanity, reminding us of the power of collective commitment and the importance of advancing nursing leadership.

This vision, shaped by her remarkable career as Executive Director of the “Association vaudoise d’aide et de soins à domicile” (AVASAD), is a true source of inspiration for the global nursing community.

The key role of the SwissTech Convention Center

The choice of the SwissTech Convention Center proved to be strategic and promising. Thanks to its innovative architecture and state-of-the-art technological infrastructure, the venue provided the ideal setting for a conference of this scale. Its modularity and unique atmosphere made it possible to combine large group events with more targeted exchanges, enhancing the experience for participants. This human-scale center also promotes closeness and the creation of excellent connections between participants.

The success of SIDIIEF 2025 cannot be measured solely by the record number of participants, but above all by the momentum for collaboration and innovation that it has generated.
