Interview with Eva Brignoli Balcarová and Kasper Ulstrup Sørensen – Reflecting on the Success of EPUAP at the SwissTech Convention Center

What did you like the most about this conference?

The organization was excellent. The SwissTech Convention Center (STCC) was incredibly helpful, especially with everything related to the exhibition area. We really appreciated the flexibility they provided, which allowed us to adapt smoothly throughout the event. The venue itself is modern and offers a great atmosphere. The layout, with everything on one floor, made networking so much easier for attendees, and the scientific program had plenty of room to shine.

How does this edition differ from previous ones?

One major difference this year was the space itself. Having the meeting rooms and exhibition area all together was a big plus. Our partners really appreciated the convenience and how clean and well-maintained everything was.

How do you evaluate the success of this congress?

It was a great success. We received a lot of positive feedback, especially from exhibitors, who were very satisfied with the setup. We didn’t hear any negative comments, aside from the rainy weather on Thursday, which was beyond anyone’s control. Communication with Tamara Richard , Marion Perracini and the STCC team was seamless, and the technical staff showed a lot of flexibility, which made everything run smoothly.

What factors do you think contributed to this success?

The set up and space organization were fantastic. The catering was also strategically placed, making it convenient for attendees to grab refreshments without interrupting the flow of the event. All these elements contributed to creating a successful and well-received congress.

What are your future plans for this congress?

Our congress changes location every year, and next year we’ll be heading to Helsinki. This was our first edition in Switzerland, and we were really impressed by the venue.
