Composed of about twenty student volunteers, the committee works hard throughout the year to achieve the first recruitment fair in Europe until it reaches nearly 20’000 visitors in 2019.
The year 2020 has been marked by a few challenges in order to guarantee health safety for all. The challenge was met and the fair was able to run almost normally. Indeed, 4100 visitors and 173 companies and start-ups came to the EPFL Congress Center. No cases of COVID-19 were reported.
This success is the result of a thorough health security plan. The EPFL Forum in collaboration with the SwissTech Convention Center team and the EPFL implemented a health concept to comply with the restrictions due to COVID-19. The building was separated into 3 sectors: 1 exhibition area, 1 exhibition and conference area and 1 conference area. Each sector could accommodate up to 300 people simultaneously, i.e. 900 in total. Several time slots were set up to accommodate up to 5 groups of 300 people in a day per sector. A disinfection between each time slot was also carried out.
